A bird labelled 52 Janpath welcomes you, and what a welcome! The entry passage is one of the innovative entries i have ever seen. Ordered salad (prawn), chicken skewers, mocktail, pasta, non veg appetisers and biryani.
CELTIC CAESER PRAWN SALAD
Topped with croutons, the portion was presented beautifully and was fresh in taste. Lettuce and prawns were fresh and tasted awesome. Content of cheese even more delicious.
THAI CHICKEN SKEWERS
Presented beautifully in vodka shot glasses, was an amazing delight this evening. The chicken was very soft and juicy, and was wrapped around a bamboo type stuff (apologies for missing out this). Highly recommended.
GUAVA CHILLI MOCKTAIL
Proper content of guava mixed with proper content of chilli, awesome refresher. Always had a drink which is sweet, but this was spicy. Yes! I had a spicy drink. Do try this if you want to experience the same.
DOUBLE FRIED PORK
COLD LITCHI WONTON
The taste was amazing, and the presentation was different. Served in a 3 layer tiffin box – biryani, raita and salad.
The big gate and then the bricked wall will surely draw your attention. There is sitting outside as well, not recommended for summers however. Alcoholics would like to take a right upon entering, as that is where the bar is. The sitting is no less than a royal sitting – the chairs and the couches were comfortable and different from other cafes/restaurants. The place is little shady, and i liked it. Music was perfectly volumed and surely will not disturb your chit-chats 😊 Any new entry in the restaurant was welcomed a tong (bell), don’t know the reason but surely it draws your attention 😊
A collection of books is also there in case reading is ur interest.
A small kind gesture that i would like to mention in my review. Saw an info message on the menu card –
Please alert the server incase you have any allergy to food ingredients/nuts
Another different thing i noticed was a bell on the table. So no more ‘excuse me’ for stewards, ting tong the bell and the steward will be at your service.
This place is in Janpath market. Janpath metro station (Violet line) is the nearest, you need to cross the road and you will be in the market. If you are driving, please take an exit from outer circle of CP to Janpath, and you can find ample parking.
